Solar panels: care begins with the module
Materials, manufacturer guidance and access: the starting points for cleaning adapted to the installation.
Understand the installation before acting
Dust and deposits do not build up in the same way at every installation. The first step is to identify the module type, its materials and the visible condition of the surface. Reviewing the manufacturer’s guidance helps propose cleaning that is compatible with the panel and avoid unsuitable treatments.
Agree on the method and access
Layout, tilt and access conditions form part of the assessment, together with water availability. This information defines the scope and helps assess the use of the drone and complementary equipment in each area. Working hours and conditions are coordinated with the person responsible for the installation.
Prepare an assessment with context
To assess the work, useful information includes the location, panel count or approximate area, height and a description of the soiling. Overview photographs provide context. Where included in the brief, visual documentation records the surface condition of the modules.
Cleaning removes exterior soiling. No percentage of production recovery is specified without installation data: energy output also depends on module condition and other factors. The objective and scope are defined from the outset.
